how to get there from the airport?

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • Mariscal Sucre International Airport is located 39 km (24 ml) from Quito.

  • You can take a taxi or a bus from the airport, but there is only one company that brings passengers from the airport and this company that only has one station in the city of Quito and its location is north of the city.

  • If your flight arrives from 17:00 to 04:00 the next day. We do not recommend take a bus. Why would you arrive in Quito at a non-recommended time.

  • At the airport you have free internet, but if you plan to buy a chip at the airport we do not recommend it because they are very expensive. Better check our travel tips page

  • We recommend you take our safe service that has the same cost as the city taxis, but if you want you can take another taxi or uber.

  • Our automatic system will assign you one of our collaborators who will wait for you at the airport at your arrival time.

 

Recommendations

  • Do not pay more than what our taxi costs. That is the normal value.

  • Some taxis try to trick you to charge you more or take you to another place where they receive commission.

  • Take the bus at the International Arrivals Terminal.
    Note: The bus is red with white.

  • The price can increase 2 usd at night

  • From the last stop you can take a taxi to Minka Hostel (6 usd maximum)

  • Or take a bus at the bus stop "Antiguo Aeropuerto" which is a 400m walk away and get off at the Seminario Mayor station and walk 4 blocks to Minka Hostel

how to get there from the bus terminals?

 

Remember that we are located in the center of the city. If you are going to take a taxi from any terminal, the maximum price is 6 usd. (35 minutes approximately)

Located 45 minutes by bus

  • Take the Trole Bus that is at the entrance of the Terminal

  • The price is 35 cents

  • You must get off at the "Santa Clara" stop

  • C4 is the name of the bus that takes you directly to Minka Hostel

  • Walk for 1 minutes to Minka Hostel
