We hereby inform you how to apply to our volunteering process:
In Minka are looking for responsible people, with good attitude and honest to work in a clean and tidy environment with a job team which can be self – manageable
We like meeting people from all over the word who come with their ideas, amazing stories, art, trips, etc., but above all else, we love people who adds value and bring us a unforgettable memory to our hostel.
The Hostel are located in the center of Quito, so, it is very easy move to the different place inside and outside the city. If you want to know how to get to our hostel, in the menu of this page you will find all the necessary instructions.
Our capacity of 40 people and access to the large common spaces between you can find: kitchen, open-air terrace, elastic bed, pool table, smoking area, plants in a friendly and comfortable environment available to guest and volunteers.
With your help we can give travelers a home while they know the city.
What do you need to apply?
We are looking for someone who has:

Every volunteer starts Monday.

The minimum stay must be two weeks and a maximum of one month (non exceptions).
If you want a temporary place while enjoying the lifestyle and culture of Quito, you have come to the right place.
What do you have to do?
The mainly job is attend the needs of the Hostel reception with few cleaning tasks, for wich, you must:

Attend the needs of the guest and the hostel.

Keep in order your work area and clean the common area.

Must be keep clean your bed and room.
-
The schedules are rotating per week.
-
Shifts of six hours and three days off per week.

What we offer?
For us, a volunteer is a guest who pays for their stay in a different way. The work isn´t complicated, but we ask that the tasks be completed in order and in each shift.
In exchange for your Work we offer you:

A shared room of 6 people.

Independent bathroom.

Preferential price in laundry services, Breakfasts.

Free access to the disco on weekends.

Access to all the facilities of the Hostel (Kitchen, Wifi, etc.).

Hot water in the showers
If you have questions or would like to speak with a volunteer or ex-volunteer. On our Facebook fan page there are several people who follow us or appear as friends who have worked with us.

Important Notes
We plan the volunteer program and guarantee your place in the team on the dates agreed. Similarly, we ask you to comply the agreed arrival date.
IF you are not sure of your trip, we ask that you DO NOT apply to volunteer because it is a problem for us to replace someone unexpectedly.
The response time and validation proccess are short.
Once we receive your message, we validate the availability and inform you immediately.
If the administrator informs you that if there are vacancies available, you must complete the following form.
With this information, the hostel manager will contact you to get to know you better and resolve any queries that exist.
If the interview is successful and you are an approved candidate. The administrator will contact you to agree on the start date and coordinate your arrival at the hostel with our team.

In the hotel we live together, many people from different places, thoughts, customs and beliefs. So it is indispensable respect, kindness, understanding and honesty

Any breach, fault or theft will immediately cancel the volunteering and you will be asked to leave the premises immediately

In cases of force majeure; such as theft, misuse of facilities or sale of drugs, narcotics. We will immediately inform the Police.
